World Missions

The Lee University Symphonic Band uses music to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ which states that we are to "…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19).

In the last two decades the ensemble has traveled to the Bahamas, Trinidad, Mexico, South Africa, Botswana, Guatemala, Jordan (2005), Brazil (2007) and Israel (2009). In each of these countries the ensemble was able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through concerts in schools and public amphitheaters and, in some locations, was able to give private music lessons to and hold master classes for local school children.

Project: CUBA

In June of 2011, the band will travel to the nation of Cuba to work with the Cuban National Orchestra. Through a strategic partnership with Harmony International and contacts in Cuba, the members of the Lee University Symphonic Band will be able to share their talent and faith with members of the orchestra and ciitizens of Cuba. Details on this incredible ministry opportunity are forthcoming. Check back often for more details.
